Why Baxters?
We specialize in catering food for very large groups and events typically 40+ Adults. We have a team of experienced chefs who are passionate about creating delicious meals for your special day.
What regions do you serve?
We serve the Wellington, Kapiti, South Wairarapa regions and charge a travel fee based on distance and travel time. Only our food caravans will travel outside of Wellington for very large events.
Whats the difference between Delivered and Full Service options?
With our express delivery, we drop off your food in reusable/recyclable containers with disposable plates and cutlery. Our full-service catering includes full buffet setup, proper plates and utensils, and complete pack-down and cleanup—we take all the dirty dishes with us.
Can we keep leftovers?
If asked we can supply reusable plastic containers to put leftovers in to save your food for later.
Do you provide tables and chairs for eating?
We don't provide tables and chairs for eating. However, we do provide a buffet of delicious food and can help you make arrangements for your guests.
Is there a travel fee?
If the venue location is far from our kitchen, we will charge a travel fee based on travel distance to compensate for petrol and staff time.
How many food caravans do you have?
We run up to nine food caravans during our peek summer period. We are a one stop shop if you need a range of food caravans to cater your large event. We are the preferred food caravan vendors for many big events due to our food serving capacity.
